Making a difference for Lauren :)

Lauren (Porterfield) Oblak heard the words that no one ever wants to hear in October of 2012. Stage IV Pancreatic Cancer. Lauren has been receiving aggressive treatment for the past 12 months, battling courageously with every ounce of her being to win this fight. Her strength, determination, humility and grace has not wavered.

So many of us that love Lauren, have wanted to help ease the burden for her family, in some way, as they navigate through these unchartered waters. Not only is cancer a devastating blow, emotionally and physically, but it's not free. That's right- you have to pay for cancer. The nerve. Although we can't help with the physical treatment, we can help with the financial burden that comes along with it. Whether it be to pay for medical bills or to help with everyday living expenses to make life a little bit easier... We can make a difference.

To know Lauren is to love her. With one meeting you will have a friend for life. She is generous and bubbly with an infectious laugh that can command a room wherever she may be.
