Help Mike Hook Beat Bladder Cancerl

Hi. My name is Susan and I am trying to help my sweetheart and partner of 13 years , Mike Hook,beat Bladder Cancer !

Mike's Story :
Mike is a very healthy,active hard working gentleman. In April of 2017,He noticed blood in his urine.We assumed it was probably an easily treatable bladder infection. Unfortunately this was not the case.An ultrasound showed a lesion in the bladder .A procedure was done on June 22 where they insert a scope in the bladder and do direct visualization. Wide spread high grade aggressive cancer was found in the bladder !We were devastated!
A CT scan was done to see if the Cancer had spread. Luckily it was contained in the bladder but had spread into the wall of the bladder.We were then referred to specialists at UC Davis medical center for treatment options.
Treatment plans :
Mike will begin a course of high density Chemotherapy on September 12th. Followed by major surgery to remove the bladder and make a new bladder out of his intestine.
Our Goal:
Mike or anyone with Cancer should not have to worry about finances while battling this horrible disease!! I worked as an RN in ICU/Bone marrow transplant for 25 years.I began to have degeneration of the spine with fractures. Resulting in spinal fusion.So am currently disabled. With Mike being sick and unable to work ,my monthly disability check will be our only income.
We live in a rural mountain community which means we have to travel 1-3 hours for treatments.The surgery will require a lengthy hospital stay and long recovery!!

Mike is a wonderful ,loving man . Any funds we raise will go for costs of treatment,travel expenses,lodging ,food,firewood for the winter etc. If you can't afford to donate cash, please donate a prayer !!I want to grow old with him :(
