Mason's Memory

Donation protected
On Friday 6th December 2019 it was a day like any other in our family, until devastatingly during the night Mason ( of age 15) had stopped breathing. Paramedics were called to the house immediately whilst Mason received CPR from a family member.

Mason was immediately taken via ambulance to Dalby Hopsital whilst CPR was still being perfomed to start his heart from paramedics.

After Mason was stable and a ventilator had been attatched to Mason to assist his breathing he was flown via Helicopter to Queensland Childrens Hospital, in Brisbane.  Mason had been admitted to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit to have further testing.

Sunday, December 8 our family was given the tragic news that Mason's brain had stopped recieving blood and there was no brain activity. He had been declared brain dead. This can happen when our hearts have been stopped for a longer period of time. Unfortunately this meant that Mason was not going to get better or be able to come home.

Mason is currently still receiving medical assistance to give his loved ones a chance to grieve and say goodbye, although we do have a recommended period of time from medical staff to turn off these machines assisting him.

At this stage we are trying to prevent as much stress as we possibly can on all of Mason's loved ones by trying to raise funds to help cover the future cost's for the funeral/memorial of this fun loving boy.
