Dear Friends, Followers, and Fans,
Bills, debts, family crises, and survival concerns have been getting in the way lately of getting some basic things I need so my business/ministry can get moving forward. I am humbly reaching out for financial help for the first time in my life. Your contributions large and small are so appreciated, and will go to the following, listed in order of importance:
1. NEW GUITAR, MIKE, AMP - At a recent gig, my lovely guitar fell hard and got smashed by the floor. Repairs would cost over $500, and I am in the market for a new guitar, as well as a portable amp and mike so I can get more of the kinds of local gigs where such amplification is needed and is expected to be provided by the musician. Estimated Cost: $1000
2. NEW COMPUTER - My dinosaur desktop might be worth something in 150 years as an antique, but for now, it slows me down and needs to be replaced. Estimated Cost: $1000
3. WEBSITE MAKEOVER - My lovely website, www.scottsongs.com, has not been seriously worked on or upgraded since before the year 2000. It needs to become interactive and brought up to date. Estimated cost, $3500 at least.
4. NEW BOOK - My Spiritual Dr. Seuss poems are so wanting to be put together with children's style illustrations and made into a book. Oh, The Places Your Ego Will Go! A children's book for adults! Estimated cost for self-publishing, hiring the artist, cover design, etc: $3500.
