Christmas for Rm. 212

I teach on Chicago's Westside, in an extremely impoverished neighboorhood. On Friday afternoon or Monday morning one of my students placed a letter to Santa under my desk explaining how they thought Santa had never come to their house because he/she had never written to him before. The letter was absolutely heartbreaking. I do not know which one of my babies wrote the letter but I do know that this year I have 13 students in my classroom and to be quite honest, they are all in need. I would not be surprised if multiple children in my room share the same sentiments. I would love to be able to bring Christmas to room 212.
