Funeral Donations for James Kaminski

I'm starting this as a personal project to help my mom out with costs and those things that go along with a funeral and the lost of my father this past Wednesday. We have friends and family spread out across the United States and other countries and they have been emailing and calling asking for a way to help out or a place to send flowers so I have come up with this as a solution. I know not all of you can attend the events in the next coming days, but we appreciate your love and prayers and we know all of you are here with us in thoughts and spirit.

For those of you who knew my dad, know that he went home to be with the Lord. He taught me everything good about this life and he loved us better than anyone could have. He showed us all how to be a great husband and we all witnessed him love my mom up until his last breath. He meant the world to me and I thank God for the time I had with him...

Obituary James "Jim" Thomas Kaminski, 67, of Midland, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013, at Spartanburg Hospital For Restorative Care in South Carolina after a courageous 7-month battle with Pancreatitis. He was born March 23, 1946, in Midland, the son of Helen Frances Kaminski (Filcek) and the late Stanley Joseph Kaminski. Jim was a faithful Servant of God. He loved his Lord and Savior, and lived every day to its fullest as an example of Christ in everything he did. He had a heart for his family and for people, not just to know of Christ but to have a personal daily relationship with Him. Christ said, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life, no one enters the Kingdom except through me."

He is survived by his wife ("Always a Lady") Darla Jane Kaminski (DeBolt) who stood by his side every single minute; one daughter, Tara Jane Kaminski-Weese (Husband Steven); three sons, Thomas Allen Kaminski (Wife Sherri), Andrew Jonathon Kaminski, Ryan Darrell Kaminski (Wife Ashley), and like a daughter of his own Danielle Taylor; ten grandchildren, James Thomas Kaminski II, Megan, Roman, Tobias, Baby Kaminski on the way, Ashton, Todd, Bailey, Melanie (Ryan); two great grandchildren, Alexander and Onnalise; two sisters, Susan (Glen), Michelle (Steve); one brother Charles (Diane); and in-laws, which include mother, Shirley DeBolt, three brothers, Darvin (Vicki), Michael (Melody), and Brian. In addition to his father Stanley, James was preceded in death by one sister, Evelyn (Ralph); one brother, Eugene (Doreen); and his father-in-law Vern Darrell DeBolt.

A celebration of life service will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2013, 11 a.m., at the North Point Ministries (formerly Jefferson Avenue Church of God), 5920 Jefferson Ave., with Pastor Darryl Harless officiating and guest speaker Adam Thomason. Viewing will be held Monday, Oct. 21, 2013, 4pm-8pm, at Smith Miner Funeral Home, 2700 W. Wackerly. A private burial for immediate family will be held at Homer Township Cemetery following the service. Jim's family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2013, at 10am until time of service. In lieu of flowers those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a donation to the family in his memory.

Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all thy heart, And lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, And he will direct thy paths.
2 Corinthians 5:1-6

For we know that if the earthly tent which is our house is torn down, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For indeed in this house we groan, longing to be clothed with our dwelling from heaven, inasmuch as we, having put it on, will not be found naked. For indeed while we are in this tent, we groan, being burdened, because we do not want to be unclothed but to be clothed, so that what is mortal will be swallowed up by life. Now He who prepared us for this very purpose is God, who gave to us the Spirit as a pledge. Therefore, being always of good courage, and knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord- we are of good courage, I say, and prefer rather to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord.

Thanks Everyone:)
