Rusty the Gentle is Asking for Help

This is Rusty. He is a gentle dog living on the streets of Chandigarh, India, where he is also temporarily being fostered. Due to Rusty’s docile and playful nature, he tends to gets injured by other street animals often, sometimes even humans. After suffering his most recent attack, he found his way on his own to the door of his fosters who immediately snuck him in to their place.
Unfortunately, his foster Mom and brother Snoopy will be moving at the end of this year (2017), and Rusty will not only be forced to go back to his life on the streets, but he is going to be terribly confused.
He is gentle, (hence his nickname), patient and loving, and sadly, Rusty thinks he already is in his forever home as he is settling in and cuddling so well. Even after sustaining his recent injury, he was so calm while being treated.
Rusty doesn’t only need a home... he has shown that he WANTS a home.
Myself and Rusty’s foster have been desperately searching for a home or new foster for him, and we have found some serious interest, however, the first question asked is if funds have been raised for Rusty’s vet clearance and (potential) travel out of the country.
We are looking not only for donations to facilitate Rusty’s travel home, but perhaps even someone who might be able to accompany Rusty on his flight to wherever he may end up.
Time is running out for Rusty and we know it’s a hectic time of year, so we thank you for reading and sharing our tail. As you know, every little dig counts.
