My sister Dona (Girouard) Omanoff, was diagnosed in September 2015, with Stage 3B Breast Carcinoma Cancer. Dona chose to heal her body through non-traditional treatments which have kept her in better health but have financially burdened her due to insurance companies not covering this method of treatment. She has however, come to an impasse. In order to have longevity and quality of life, she requires surgery. This procedure will remove her breast, the tumor and tissue surrounding it. In order to have the surgery, she must prepay her $3000 insurance deductible. Dona is only able to work part time as a substitute teacher and cannot afford the surgery. We are reaching out for help with the immediate need of her deductible for her surgery in January. Any additional money raised will go towards offsetting her medical bills, which include a hospital stay and testing when she was uninsured.
