Medical Expenses for Danielle

Danielle has been struggling with health issues since 2010.  It stared with Guillian Barre syndrome. She has been struggling with POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome) since May 2014 and was officially diagnosed in October 2014.  It was lengthy and expensive process to get that diagnoses.  It included a trip to the MayoClinic to confirm the diagnosis.  At that time, she was also diagnosed with fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, and neuropathic pain.  With POTS there is no cure, the only thing one can hope for is better quality of life through the physical conditioning of the body, proper diet, increased fluid and sodium intake.

Because of the disautonomia that accompanies POTS, Danielle's autonomic nervous system cannot keep her body regulated properly.  When the autonomic nervous system can no longer keep the body regulated and in optimal condition, over time damage to various organ systems is inevitable. This process has already begun in Danielle's body, so we are hoping to slow it down and possibly even reverse it. She seemed to be doing better until a couple of months ago. She started losing weight involuntary and having gastrointestinal issues.  There is a doctor in California who has been able to help other patients with these issues with a  85-90% success rate by using a a procedure called TVAM (transvascular autonomic modulation) and Mesenchymal stem cell therapy.  He has an opening on December 29, 2015 when he can see Danielle but we need your help to get there.  Our insurance will pay a small portion of the costs, but since this procedure is experimental right now, they will not cover of the majority of the fees.  We have to have the full payment amount when we arrive on December 28, 2015.
