Sunshine and Gardenias for Vicki Lynn!

Vicki Stever is full of spunk and fun, even as she is grounded, steady, and ever gracious. We have thought, in her spectacular selflessness, that she orbited our hurling velocity but have come to understand that it is actually the reverse; we orbit her. And it is our turn to reflect back to her that understated, unwavering strength she so often provides, to lift her up, to carry her in the face of this diagnosis of pancreatic cancer with hope and joy and love.

At this particular point, we are awaiting a liver biopsy and subsequent results. If the nodes on her liver are malignant, we are looking at a prognosis of months as opposed to years. Of course, we pray (and welcome your prayers!) that they are benign. Either way, we are fully committed to fighting the cancer in a holistic manner, utilizing both traditional as well as alternative approaches. Already, this is adding up! We have started this campaign on her behalf with the intent of offering financial support in an effort to help defray the costs of very expensive medical treatment and secondary costs (hotel, transportation, alternative treatments, food, etc.) as she begins her fight for health and happiness.

Our goal right now is to show her our love so that she knows it down to the bone, knows it as surely as the most sure thing for we truly are, presently and endlessly, in love with her: mother, wife, and friend.
