2017 has been a difficult year for my son Kameron & his wife Melissa.
Melissa, beginning December 2016: Throughout Melissa's pregnancy she experienced numerous health issues related to her heart resulting in over 100 doctor visits. Due to out-of-network coverage they were forced
to take out an additional insurance policy on Melissa (in addition to their family policy) to get her the medical care she needs. After Fletcher was born, Melissa had a heart procedure done to correct her heart issue. This seemed to work for a short time but has since caused her to do more doctoring. In the past month she has had a many tests including a spinal tap and is now waiting for a doctor consultation to discuss her diagnosis.
5 year old grand daughter Kenley: Kenley had a tonsillectomy & adenoids surgery scheduled for this past Monday, the 11th of December. Last week during her routine 6-month heart appointment they learned that the membrane beneath her aorta has grown substantially, now covering over 60% of her valve. So instead of the routine appointment they thought they were going to, they were told to go home and pick a date for open-heart surgery. Our family is still in shock and are asking you to cover her in your prayers. The result of all these medical appointments (and time off from work for Kameron) is creating a financial burden for their family so we have decided to create a fundraiser to help them through this difficult time. If you are able to contribute in any way it would be greatly appreciated.
Melissa stated, "I told God I don't have time to be sick, I need to take care of my baby". Please cover Melissa in prayer for healing and that her symptoms would stabilize so that she is able to have the strength to put her doctoring on hold until after Kenley's surgery.
