A few weeks ago, my family and I received the worst news anyone can get. My father was diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Squamous Neck Cancer. He begins treatments after Thanksgiving, 5 days a week of chemotherapy and radiation. In two days he is scheduled to have a chest port inserted, and we were all ready for this battle. But, when things seemed as if they couldn't get any worse, they did. Tonight, his apartment complex burned down, and he lost everything. As well as all of his clothes and belongings, his kitten, Nugget, went missing during the fire. Even through all of this, he is still the strongest person I know. I love my dad and how he finds the best in every situation. He keeps reminding me that somewhere in this mess, there is a silver lining; I'm holding those words closer than ever. Anything helps to go towards the cost of his medical expenses and replacing the things he lost. Any donations would be greatly appreciated.
