Michael & Kaz - Athletes vs Epilepsy

Hey guys. We’re Michael and Kaz. We go to Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA and we’re running a marathon during the Coastal Delaware Running Festival on April 22, 2018. We’re teaming up with the Epilepsy Foundation to help raise money and awareness for epilepsy to help bring an end to this disease. We’re hoping to reach our goal of $5,000 to donate to the Foundation in order to further their research and funding. All we ask is that if you feel called to donate, please do. 100% of the money we raise will be donated directly to Epilepsy Foundation. In the same way that we are sacrificing our bodies to run, we ask that you sacrifice any amount of money, whether it be $1 or $100, to help out with our cause. Every penny counts and we are beyond thankful for each and every dollar we are able to raise!

A little bit about us:
We are both freshmen at Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA. Michael is from Mound, MN and is double-majoring in Global Studies and Biblical Studies with the long term goal of becoming a full-time Missionary. He was diagnosed with Juvenile Myoclonic Epilepsy at age 15, and has been episode free for over 2 years! Kaz is from Buffalo, NY and is majoring in Biomedical Sciences with the long term goal of becoming a Physicians Assistant. Although Kaz doesn’t have epilepsy, he is passionate about raising money and awareness for this disease. We both play hockey here at LU and are very excited for the upcoming challenge of training for a marathon while also balancing hockey and school as well.
