Bring Maci Renee Home

Donation protected
Maci Renee Boyd was expected to be born on November 27, 2013. Due to a bad placenta causing a growth restriction and a loss of all amniotic fluid, her mother was sent to Renown Regional Medical Center. The absence of amniotic fluid caused Maci to roll on her cord and resulted in her heart rate decelerating. After 10 days and an increasing number of heart decelerations the doctors decided it would be safer for her to deliver 6 1/2 weeks early.

Sunday October 13, at 8:33 PM Maci was born by C-section, at 2lb 10oz 14.25 in. Doctors and nurses from the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) were waiting to then stabilize Maci before transporting her to NICU. Thanks to the skilled doctors, and all of the support and prayers of friends and family Maci and her mother are doing great. Her mother was discharged three days later, and is recovering from the C-section.

While Maci is able to breathe on her own, with no major concerns, she still has a fight to make. Most of her nourishment and all of her medication is delivered through a PICC line, while she is being introduced to her mothers milk. Depending on how she progresses her doctors say she will be their 4 to 6 weeks.

First and foremost we would appreciate prayer for Maci.
Donations for Maci in any amount would be greatly appreciated, to help pay for her medical bills. We appreciate everyone's thoughts and prayers that have carried us through this event.
