She’s my mom, Moraima Struve. She’s 59 years old and we live in Maracaibo, Venezuela.
She suffered from severe back pain, fevers, and alarming weight loss, and after many examinations she was ultimately diagnosed with a 5.1-inch cancerous tumor on her left kidney that caused metastasis on her lungs.
We are united as a family in supporting my mom. But the hard battle against cancer is made even more difficult by the dire economic situation here in Venezuela, which has made it impossible for us to cover expenses. Her oncologic treatment is especially expensive at $18,000 per year, whereas here in Venezuela minimum salary is $2 a month. We appeal to your heart and goodwill to help her recover, so she can keep moving on and enhance her quality of life. We hope we can count with your help, any support will be highly appreciated. Ella es Moraima Struve, es mi mamá, tiene 59 años y vive en Maracaibo, Venezuela.
Después de sufrir fuertes dolores de espalda, presentar fiebres y una importante perdida de peso, en noviembre de 2019 fue sometida a varios estudios y se le diagnosticó Cáncer Renal en su riñon izquierdo, presentando un tumor que mide más de 13 cms y ha hecho metástasis en pulmones.
Como familia estamos unidos ayudándola en su lucha contra el cáncer, pero la situacion de mi país, la hiperinflación y la escases de recursos económicos nos ha impedido poder cubrir todos los gastos, sobre todo cumplir con su tratamiento oncológico de muy alto costo, valorado en 18.000 dólares (por 1 año), motivo por el cual apelamos a su corazón y buena voluntad para que mi mamá logre salir adelante y contar con una mejor calidad de vida.
