Helping my family in Puerto Rico

Like many others, my family in Puerto Rico was directly impacted by the passing of both hurricane Harvey and most recently, Maria. We have had little to no contact with my relatives on the island since Maria hit, but we know that most are okay. They will need all the help they can to help get back on their feet, especially my cousin who just gave birth to her first child. As soon I reach the goal, or we finally establish a steady form of communication with my family on the island I will first withdraw the donations to my bank account, and then wire the money via bank transfer, Walmart-to-Walmart money service or any other way I can safely get the funds to them. The other option is similar to the first, but I will set a family member in Puerto Rico up as a beneficiary and have them withdraw the funds. It's a very fluid situation, but no matter how it’s withdrawn every cent of this fund will go directly to helping them purchase food, gas for generators and supplies as the island begins to recover. I have personally donated to several disaster relief funds, including this one, to help those on the island that are in need, but wanted to do something to help my family.
