Help her keep her hair

Donation protected
My BFF here at UT wants to make a wig out of her own hair because she's about to lose it during chemotherapy treatment but can't afford the cost. Please consider helpin' a girl out!

This chica loves her hair. I mean like, really loves, loves her hair. And with good reason. It's beautiful. Long, soft, curly, cinnamon brown locks with a perfect sheen. Hair simply incapable of a bad hair-day. And making a wig out of it to wear during the next year of chemotherapy treatment and recovery, I really, sincerely, honestly do believe, would go along way to helping her get through this.

From what I can tell and from what I've heard and seen, having a positive spirit really is a big deal when facing cancer. To date, the doctors have been nothing but surprised and amazed at my friend's progress, undoubtedly because of all her efforts and the efforts of those around her. She's been doing seriously everything she can to fight in the face of the devastating stage 4 diagnosis: Research, speaking with experts, eating no glucose, no grains, raw food only, using special lotions, vitamins and herbs, drinking this really gross stuff all the time, exercising, getting "light" from her mother, spending time with her family, friends and boyfriend, and just recently, major surgery, and now, chemo. I mean, she. is. a. machine. Seriously, a rock star. And what's a rock star without her head-banging hair?!

Having her hair through this will make such a big difference for her, I just know it. The catch: it costs nearly $3000 to do so. Her boyfriend suggested we try to learn how make wigs... :-) But Steven had this brilliant idea, as per usual with Steven ;-), about setting up a GoFundMe account and ask if people would be willing to chip in for the wig. Great idea, right?! It'd be way easier for a bunch of us to ban together to make this happen and what a great, tangible way to show her some support!

She starts chemo next week, and the wig takes 5-6 weeks to make on a rush order, so this ball is already rolling! Sincerely thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you! This will mean sooooo much to her.
