Lori’s Lifesavers

My name is Laurie Layman Bartlett, I have been a close friend of Lori Conley Brummel since childhood. Our friendship has spanned close to 50 years. Lori is a very caring and compassionate person who was always giving to others in various ways. She was very thoughtful and generous and would do whatever it took to help anyone at anytime. Lori started getting sick in March of 2016, and has gone through many procedures and testing.Since then her condition has gotten progressively worse. Finally, in August of this year she was diagnosed with a rare debilitating disease called NueroSarcoidosis. The disease is effecting many organs and her central nervous system, and causes many issues such as fainting spells, pain, and muscle weakness among other things. This disease is incurable, but there are limited treatment options. But, there are very few doctors that specialize in this disease.Lori is seeking out a specialist that treats this rare disease in hopes of finding a suitable treatment option and/or medications. She also needs in home healthcare which is not covered by her insurance. This disease has total changed Lori’s life, it has left her unable to drive, work or lead a normal life. Other than trips to the doctor or short outings she is basically confined to bed. Being the type of person Lori was, this has been very difficult for her to except. This disease has put various financial strains on Lori and her family. To this date, she has had many issues with insurance coverage and has not been able to seek treatment. With our help we can make it possible for Lori to get the treatment she needs to live a life. So,at this point I’m reaching out to find Lori and her family any help possible to ease the burden on them. If anyone can find it in their hearts to help, it will be greatly appreciated.
