Craig Berry has left his earthly home, after two weeks in ICU, on the night of Thursday, October 09, 2014. Craig's family is in need of funeral, burial expenses and any minute costs the family might incur to the therefore mentioned.  Due to the severity of his health, Craig was denied health, burial and life insurance.  Craig's family is left without funds and all the expenses of the funeral as well as everyday life. Craig graduated from a HSBU/PV Alum, and an active member of Omega Psi Phi of the Eta Lambda Lambda Red Oak, Texas chapter, and a Mason.
He has been married to his wife Kanika (Skyline/PV) for 20 years & they are the parents of 4 AWESOME kids- 2 college students & twins are HS Freshman. During this trying time the family definitely needs our prayers; but they also need our support.
PLEASE click the Go Fund Me link below & donate whatever is on you heart to support this family as they begin to process his death... Let's employ that VILLAGE mentality to support this family.

Craig was a husband of 20 years, a father (3 boys and 1 daughter- a twins that are freshmen in high school, all teenagers), ages 19,16,14 and 14, a son, a great friend, a helper of anyone in need and above all else a Christian believer. 7 Years ago our friend our God brother Craig Berry began a long arduous medical battle.  What seemed so small at the time turned out to have unexpected long lasting consequences.  He was diagnosed with diabetes in 1997.  A 34 year-old Computer Engineer, sustained a cuty on his big toe.  With this, the medical rollercoaster took off in earnest.  Craig contracted a staph infection in the affected toe, then osteomylytesis of the bone, then septicemia which turned into pneumonia. Then Craig had heart issues from the different medications and with the course of antibiotics to treat the pneumonia; Craig’s kidneys shut down completely.  He was put on dialysis and the waiting list for a kidney, for his blood type was at least 5 years.

Craig was a fighter, and did not let the constant in and out of the hospital keep him down.  He took education seriously and worked on keeping his mind sharp.  Craig  graduated from Presbyterian Pan American School.  He went on to earn his Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Engineering from Prairie View A&M University in 1995.  In December of 2012 Craig earned his Master’s Degree in Information Assurance and Security form Capella University.  He was currently pursuing a PhD at Capella in 2013 which he was working on until he fell ill, this last time.

Craig was a contributing member of his community.  He was a member of the Parker University Computer Information Systems Advisory Board.  He has worked for Compaq Computer Corporation, FDIC Manhattan Division via QSS Group, I-2 Technologies, V.P. of Southwest Division with Fanestra Information Systems, AT&T Uverse Division, imc2  and CompCon Technologies.  Craig volunteered with: Kidney Foundation Walk, American Heart Association, Dynasty Cheer Group, Athletes for Change Boys Group Home, Boy Scouts of America, Masonic Lodge- Harker Heights of Houston, Texas-1995 State of Texas Free and Accepted Masons and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc, graduate chapter 2007.

Craig Berry was a husband of 20 years, a father of four teenagers and a devout Christian.  Craig fell ill during home hemodialysis.  And while his wife and family called 911 he suffered cardiac arrest and respitatory arrest .  The  paramedics were able to resuscitate him , but his brain functions suffered greatly.  He  lingered in a coma and then a vegatative state at  Charlton Methodist Hospital in Dallas, Texas.

His wife and family are now left without Craig; and due to his prolonged health troubles there is neither medical insurance, burial insurance, life insurance or savings of any kind .  Please help my friends' family.
