Andrew “Drew” Ahrens medical fund

My name is Mark Bauman, I have been a close family friend of the Ahrens family for over 30 years and it’s at a time like this when you need to ask family and friends for help .
On the first weekend of December, Drew was Hunting with his brother Kevin . It’s believed that while getting down from his tree stand on a frosty morning he lost balance and fell some 17 feet to the ground.
Drew sustained multiple injuries to his back, neck, ribs, collarbone and ankle . He was taken to St Mary’s in Saginaw but they felt the injuries would be best taken care of in Detroit and was transferred to Henry Ford Hospital the following day .
From what I know at this time , Drew will be ok but it’s going to be months of healing and rehabilitation along with a never ending pile of bills his insurance won’t cover as well as his normal monthly bills.
Living alone and with no weekly income this is going to obviously put Drew in some financial struggles until he can get back to a normal life again.
This is a position no one wants to be , having to ask for help to get through this tough time , but that’s what family and friends are for .
I realize with the holidays that many people are short on expendable funds but any donations will be appreciated .
I will run and share this as long as possible so people can help after the holidays or multiple times if they wish because I’m sure there will be bills coming in for at least a year that will need help with .
Please keep Drew in your prayers for a speedy and full recovery and back to doing the things he lives for .
