Kat and Vicky's 13.1 miles of madness

Donation protected

On Sunday 20 October we (Kat and Vicky) will be taking part in the Birmingham half marathon. The reason for our madness in signing up for this event is that 18 months ago our nephew Euan (now aged 4) was diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrpohy. This is a devastating muscle wasting condition for which there is currently no cure. Progress is being made in identifying potential therapies, but, as with all medical research, funding is key to the ongoing testing and development of any treatment.

In the meantime, our sister Alex and her husband Warren are working hard to maintain a sense of normality for their family of three young boys and to create life long memories of adventures for Euan and his brothers whilst Euan is still able to be active.

We are therefore running to raise money which we would like to divide between the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign and the fund Alex and Warren have set aside for family trips to places such as Lapland and Disney World and adapting their home to accommodate Euan's condition.

Any and all support you can offer will be very very much appreciated.
