Persevering With the Pachecos

Our father, Jesus Pacheco, went to the ER November the 2nd for some pain in his back and hip. The next few days felt like an eternity as his pain worsened and grew more complex. His symptoms pointed towards meningitis. The doctors were stumped; our family was shocked. Immediately, the doctors pumped antibiotics into my father’s body, placed masks and plastic robes on us in efforts to contain this contagious disease.After finding these news, they discovered the next startling dilemma. His GI and colon were malfunctioning. My father underwent two major surgeries within a week to investigate and repair his swollen colon. We kept hearing “meningitis” and “tuberculosis” for the cause of his torture but, even to this day, it hasn’t been confirmed. However, what we do know is that my father, Jesus, is suffering from a rebellious infection in his spinal column. He is constantly receiving a cocktail of antibiotics in efforts to regress the effects. This severe treatment is projected to last over 8 weeks. What is most shocking to the family is the origins of these infections - UNKNOWN. He lived a healthy lifestyle, played racquetball daily, attended church, was self employed - and all of a sudden this happened! Today, December the 2nd, marks one month of my father being in the hospital. And after multiple blood tests, MRIs, sonograms, the hospital bills are starting to stack up. Jesus is still battling for his life. He is a warrior and braver than anyone I know. Please help us persevere as a family. We need our father/grandfather and hope and pray that maybe we can have a Christmas miracle.
