Jaxson's Crusade Against Cancer

Once upon a time... there was a king a queen living in an empty castle. The king and queen loved each other very much. 



One day they learned their castle would not be so lonely anymore; that a precious gift would soon arrive. 



Nine months later, on the twenty-third day of the tenth month in the year two thousand and fourteen; Prince Jaxson was born. 



Prince Jaxson; first of his name, with doe eyes, of earth, breaker of freezies, of playgrounds, and rider of trains. 



Prince Jaxson brought joy to those that he met. To gaze into his eyes, was to be touched by beauty so pure, it could bring light to the darkest of shadows. 



Just days after his third year among this earth, Prince Jaxson was wounded. An evil spirit attacked the Prince without anyone's knowledge; including the Prince. As his wound grew further tainted with the infection the spirit left behind, Prince Jaxson fell ill. 



The king and queen scoured the land for all the finest healers, medicine men, and priests. All had examined the Prince and established a treatment; a treatment they could not provide. The king and queen were to travel across the land to a small village of sorcerers. The men and women of this village had all the means to treat Prince Jaxson; and so the king and queen prepared their sons train, Thomas, for departure. 



After their long journey, the king, the queen, and their beloved son reached the village where many sorcerers waited at the ready. The magical treatments began immediately. Prince Jaxson's left tummy bean had grown large and rotted. The vein that clenched his heart grew dark. The darkness left by the evil spirit was tainting the kind and beautiful Prince's body. So much so that his cavity filled with liquid venom caused from the evil spirits infection. 



Prince Jaxson was at war. A war within himself. A war that would bring further illness and suffering to both himself and those who loved him most. As the sorcerers began to see the darkness surround his heart, the deterioration of his tummy and the venom further filled his chest; the sorcerers decided to use a method used only once before. 



A sleeping curse would be laid upon Prince Jaxson. A curse that would leave him in a deep sleep until a kiss of true love would wake him. To keep the Prince from giving in to the darkness, to the infection left by the evil spirit, the sorcerers gave Prince Jaxson their special potion. His beautiful doe eyes slowly closed and he slipped into a filled with light and love. 



The king and queen remained at their young Prince's side. In the people of their kingdom rallied in support. For there had never been a greater king and queen; they were loved by all.



As the holiday’s approached the sorcerers’ magic was beginning to help the young Prince. Finally, things were looking up and the King and Queen were able to wake their son with true loves kiss on each of Prince Jaxson’s cheeks.



The doe-eyed Prince had woken from his deep sleep. The sorcerers had seen a big difference in Prince Jaxson’s health. His tummy bean had begun to shrink, the darkness that surrounded his heart began to fade, and the venom that filled his chest was gone. The King and Queen were feeling hopeful, and the Prince was back to eating his cold treats.



Prince Jaxson continued to receive magical medicines from the sorcerers. The medicine sometimes made him feel and caused his body to shrink in size. He was tired and weak, but his smile remained.



The sorcerers decided it was time to rid the tiny Prince of his tummy bean and the rest of the darkness that plagued his body. They would perform magic spells on the Prince that would do just that as he lay resting in his bed. When he would awake, the tummy bean would be gone and the darkness that surrounded his heart would be too.



As the young Prince recovered, the King and Queen rejoiced. The three Royals were able to return home to their castle and to their Kingdom of loving subjects. However, now the little Prince would begin a new trial. He would start a new medicine that the sorcerers were cooking up that would make sure if Prince Jaxson should ever meet the evil spirit again, the Prince couldn’t be affected by its infections a second time. They called this remedy “Radiation”.



After weeks of the miracle remedy, the King and Queen were ecstatic that this would all be over soon. The young Prince was back to breaking freezies, riding trains, and taming his dog patrol. Prince Jaxson had grown larger and stronger than ever. As the summer months approached, the Royals looked forward to beautiful days by the water together, playing in the sunshine with their family and loving subjects.



Weeks continued to pass and the day had come for good news. The Royals traveled back to the land where they would meet the sorcerers again. Prince Jaxson’s crusade would soon be over once the sorcerers confirmed his body was clean and he could return to his Kingdom.



However, along their travels to meet the sorcerers, the little Prince grew ill. This time, he could not keep his tummy fluids down. The King and Queen were relieved that they were already going to meet the sorcerers, as they would know what to do.


When the King and Queen and Prince Jaxson arrived, the sorcerers ran to their aid. They looked over the little Prince and had discovered that the infection brought on by the evil spirit had spread to his breathing sacs. They were covered in the infectious darkness that plagued his body weeks before. This was not the news that the King and Queen were anxious to receive.


Shortly after their arrival, the little Prince grew worse. It was as if the infection took control of his body and made him shake and The sorcerers were concerned and decided to look closer at his body and his mind. Shockingly, the sorcerers found even more bad news that brought horror to the King and Queen. The infection had created two eggs inside Prince Jaxson’s mind. One egg was beginning to hatch and was going to spill more infection and darkness throughout the Prince’s body that he would not survive if it was not removed and killed.



The King and Queen immediately ordered the sorcerers to remove and kill the eggs. Sadly, there was no guarantee that the Prince would make it out of this alive, which left the King and Queen in agony for some time.



It was later that a sorcerer arrived to inform the King and Queen that their son had made it through the grueling battle with the darkness in his mind. However, there was little telling if he would wake the same Prince Jaxson that they knew.



It was a MIRACLE! Prince Jaxson had woken and was doing well. The left side of his body was unable to move, but the sorcerers were very encouraging that his feeling would come back soon. His right eye had some damage from the fight, but again, there was hope that this would heal in time. The important thing was the little Prince was awake and he was going keep fighting, for there was still another crusade ahead.



As Prince Jaxson’s mind healed and his body healed in the coming weeks, the King and Queen grew hopeful again that their son could endure anything and that this crusade would be won. Prince Jaxson would begin his magical treatments with the sorcerers again to cure the infection that had spread to his breathing sacs. Prince Jaxson marches on his third crusade against the evil spirit which the sorcerers have now named “Cancer”…
