Help Us Survive CNS Lymphoma

I️ have Central Nervous System Lymphoma. It’s in my brain. While this diagnosis is scary, it is not so bad compared to other things it could have been. Today I️ started a high dose chemotherapy with the goal of reaching total remission in two or three months. Overall we are feeling positive and hopeful for the future, betting on remission. CNS lymphoma is rare at any age, my age has the best prognosis for survival. In early September I️ had the first seizure of my life. Terrified, we raced to the ER where I️ again seized. The doctors were unable to find a cause. They sent us home to follow up with neurology later... Not knowing the nature of my disease, I️ underwent months of terrible and debilitating anti seizure medicines (while still having seizures). Now I️ know that we were only “treating” the symptoms of my condition. Finally an MRI of my brain was taken on 10/31. I️ was admitted to the hospital directly after. Tricks on me. I️ spent 17 days in the hospital, undergoing testing, meds, and eventually brain surgery to reach the diagnosis I️ have today. Here’s the ask: I️ haven’t been able to work since the end of October. Mary has barely been working as she has been taking care of me (much needed). I️ have applied for disability but it could be a couple more months before receiving any benefits. We are doing our best to tap into all community programs but we do need help. If you feel so compelled, please help in any way you deem necessary. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts. P.S.
