Krista 2 Cali For Medical Treatment

BACKSTORY:Since this summer, Krista has experienced a rare neurological issue causing her to have the same symptoms of those with stroke that has left her disabled to the point she can barely do regular activities. She experiences paralysis/motor weakness of all or some of her right side of her body, speech issues, extreme confusion to the point of not remembering family members names, loss of hearing/smell/taste, and extreme head pain etc. on a daily basis multiple times a day. This is called a Hemiplegic Migraine, and while it does include the pain of migraine it is much more: These attacks have gone from nonexistent to daily over a 6 month period, to the point Krista can not work and requires help from her Husband at home. As a result, her Husband is struggling to work to keep up with the expensive costs of treatment as he is constantly having to come/stay home from work to take Krista to the hospital or appointments or help when she is severely disabled, and to keep up around the house with their kids when Krista cannot. One hospital trip alone was 3k! Medications do not touch the pain or the symptoms (paralysis etc.) She has a 7 month old at home, and 7 year old daughters she is raising. TREATMENT: Recently the Schrader’s have found a treatment available, which is rare because many neurologists and the like do not know enough to treat Hemiplegic Migraines because of how rare they are and their nature! She will be going to Santa Barbara, California to see a special Functional Neurologist named Dr.Adam Harcourt (Imagine X Functional Neurology) , who is best in the world for migraines and the rare type of condition Krista has. This opportunity will allow Krista to get back to her kids and Husband, her life, and the things she loves to do as well as being pain free. Krista lives in Portage,Michigan (Kalamazoo area). She will be needing to get to California and to pay for her treatment. THE NEXT STEP/OUR GOALThis will be costing them close to 10k as a whole for treatment and trip as she is enrolling in Dr.Harcourt’s 1 week program for Migraine treatment (and as her Husband will have to accompany her due to her symptoms nature and frequency). We do not want anyone to feel pressured to give or to give a huge amount but anything you are willing to give would mean a lot to our entire family as this has been nothing short of a nightmare and a huge loss of freedom and life for Krista. We do need as much as we can ASAP to put payments down for this treatment and trip, we have half due before we leave (as she will be detoxing for a month on their diet before visiting them) and the other on arrival in (we hope) January.
