Keeping The Lights On For Lori

Donation protected

I am starting this for my dear friend, and colleague Lori Walker. Lori suffered several dizzy spells, and wasn't feeling well on September 27th 2017. She drove herself to the ER that day after a coworker saw the state she was in when she arrived at work. After bloodwork and a CAT Scan she was told they thought she had Leukemia. She was transferred to another hospital that night, and a bone marrow biopsy was scheduled for the next day. On September 29th 2017 Lori was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. She spent the next 38 days in the hospital, and underwent 2 more bone marrow biopsies, and 2 rounds of chemotherapy. She was told her best chance of recovery would be to have a bone marrow transplant. Thanks to all of the selfless people registered with bethematch.org she has a donor. She is being admitted to the hospital again on December 5th 2017. She will undergo another round of chemotherapy before her transplant on December 12th 2017. From this point she will be unable to work for approximately 6 more months. She is receiving 60% of her usual pay, but it is not enough. She is not able to make ends meet as the medical bills mount, and basic living expenses get harder to meet. Lori is an extremely strong, proud, and independent woman who would never ask for help, so I am asking for her. Please consider donating to this amazing woman to ease her stress, in at least one way, while she continues to battle this terrible illness. Thank you in advance to anyone that is able to help!
