Send StFX Rowers to Rowing Nationals

The StFX Rowing Club is comprised of 50+ motivated athletes. Our practices have us waking up before the sun rises every morning, and pushing the light as long as we can in the evening. This level of commitment couldn't be reached without our extremely dedicated coach who brings out the best qualities in her athletes both on and off the water. This year, we are planning on sending 17 of our top athletes to Montreal, Quebec, for the Canadian University Rowing Championships hosted on the Olympic Basin over the weekend of November 2-3. This will be the first year that a Maritime university will be represented at CURCs! Unfortunately, as we are a club, the University is unable to provide us with financial support so now we are turning to you for help. The estimated cost of the trip is $500 per athlete, which includes travel and accommodations. For many of our athletes this will be hard to manage on top of all of the existing expenses of university and rowing. As a team we are reaching out to the community to help us make it to Montreal, and start the process of making rowing a truly national sport!
