Jacob's Zambian Project

Thanks for your donations - I am getting excited as my departure date gets closer – now 23 November 2014.

I am now working on weekends (thanks to Rebecca) teaching little kids how to play soccer and I am hoping the hours get up so I can put away some money for the trip.

My goals have not changed:
One: Taking responsibility for raising money for the trip myself (this is the first part of the Project)
Two: Organising my own trip (with other group members – I am avoiding taking care of the group budget – am not good with numbers but I reckon I will be good at the navigator job)
Three: Helping to choose a project in Zambia to help school kids – looks like the project will be something to do with building
Four: Going on the actual trip and surviving it !

Thank you to everyone who has donated so far. If you are able to donate some money, that will be great so I can travel with other students from Williamstown. Please know that part of the challenge is getting friends of family to donate to my project...any amount is great, no matter how small.

We will be away for one month with lots of stories, probably returning Christmas eve. This trip is being organised by World Challenge and I know it will be a challenge for me but I am really looking forward to it! It won’t be a luxury cruise as you can tell, but it will be an eye-opening experience as I will experience life in a developing country.
