Due to strokes in both eyes, Hal is also legally blind and can’t drive to games on his own. After the 2012 season, Hal’s driver of five years was no longer able to continue due to health reasons. So Hal put out a request on his blog for a driver. The pay was a free seat in the press box alongside him and gas money. The Hall of Famer got over 400 responses and chose Ray Snedegar for the job. Ray is an Air Force veteran who had lost his wife in 2011.
