Davids’ Medical Expenses

This is Bennet and his older brother David. David and his twin sister Mary were born 8 years ago at 26 weeks old and spent their first 119 days of life in the NICU. David had Subglottic Stenosis due to intubation and had to have a tracheostomy at 11 weeks. During a routine trach he lost the ability to breathe for 45 minutes. The Doctors prepared his parents for the worst, he may not survive. If he did, he more than likely wouldn’t be able to eat, speak or walk. At age 3 he was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. Today he is able to walk with braces. He is able to eat, but has to have swallow tests every 3-6 months due to having pneumonia as a result of aspirating. He is able to speak with an irregular voice by reason of having had a trach and an 8 hour surgery to recreate his aiway. His Cerebral Palsy is advancing and he needs 1 of 2 surgeries. In order for the Doctors to decide which surgery best suits his needs he requires an expensive and extensive procedure called Motion Analysis Study.  His parents are on the waitlist for medicaid, and although they have insurance, it doesn’t cover the procedure. Please help the Cumbie family raise the funds for David to get his medical procedures going.
