Lana's Radiation Therapy Trip

Many of you know the health trials I've faced over the past several years, and many have already blessed me through prayers and financial support. Words cannot express the gratitude in my heart for all your help and support thru this difficult time. For those of you who don't know, I have had three surgeries for reoccurring spinal cord tumors that are adhered to the nerves and can't be fully removed. They cause me extreme back pain, numbness, and if left to grow, will cause paralysis. At my second opinion in Houston we learned that there is only one course of action that is available to me. On January 6th, my husband and I will travel back to Texas where I will receive daily treatments of radiation to my spine.  For this second chance of hope in being able to be active in the lives of my children and granddaughter, my husband and I will need funding for housing, meals, and our transportation needs for the duration of about 2 months. I can't tell you how much I've struggled with the idea of asking for help--not only because of how quickly this is all happening, but I also know this time of year is hard on everyone.  Without your prayers, support, and encouragement, this second chance simply will not happen.  In Matthew 6:25-26, He tells us not to worry--that even the birds don't have to think about where their next meal is coming from, how much more so does He love us!
