Mark & Ve’s Flood Recovery Fund

Like several others, Mark and Valencia’s home is hanging in the balance of the Skagit River. They’ve lost well over 100 feet of land that once separated them from the river. The ground has continued to erode and the river has swallowed their orchard, chicken coop, and as of last night, their shop.

The river now threatens to take their beloved home, leaving Mark and Ve displaced. With some help, they managed to pack up their belongings, emptying their home and are temporarily staying elsewhere.

Mark and Valencia are extremely gracious and hard working people who regularly put others’ needs before their own. Valencia is my aunt and has been like a mother to me, while Mark has been a fantastic addition to our family and life partner for her. Their love for each other truly shines through - just look at those smiles!
