A little help.

Donation protected
About 9 months ago I offered up my basement to a homeless person who had been in my community for a few years.  I had spoke to him during several educational programs at the local food pantry over the past few years and knew that the staff there had always tried to make sure he was covered with foods that would meet his circumstances (stove or no stove, fridge or no fridge). I obtained a few more references from other community members, and took a look at his background, and offered him my outside only entrance, 100+ year old basement. I know he is in the process of applying for disability, with the help of a Catholic charities group. He has been a huge help to me around the house/yard and for the most part it has been a good arrangement for the both of us.

I do not get involved in his business or give him any additional assistance. He has a roof over his head, a fridge, sink, washer and dryer, and a few small appliances that I have provided. I did loan him a TV and a friend gave him an old school, fold up bed too. He has made it somewhat comfortable down there and is truly appreciative of the space and all.

Those that know about him staying in the basement often ask how he is doing so I thought I would just let everyone know of a need I have noticed in the past week. The used coffee pot that he was so happy to have acquired a few months ago has stopped working. As his space is very limited and having a toaster oven would probably be very appreciated by him, I am putting this out here to see if anyone can chip in on the coffee pot/toaster oven/griddle top gadget above?

Many thanks to you all!
