Hi Proud Families of our Northern Knights!
It is that time of year again! It is time to celebrate the accomplishments of our young men, both on and off the football field. We have a lot to celebrate! Our JV Football players finished strong in their season, 9-1, and were undefeated in the Big East! Congratulations to the JV Knights for becoming the 2019 Big East Champions! The Varsity Knights also finished the season strong with a 9-3 finish and made it to the first rounds of NCHSAA 3AA Football State Championship games. Something else to brag on is that many of our boys were also selected to the 2019 Big Eight All Conference Team. Now we show Northern pride and support as many of our seniors are making future plans and are receiving offers from colleges and universities. Who helped these young men reach their athletic and academic achievements? You did! As a parent and family member, you gave your son the opportunity to discover his talent and love for football. And our amazing staff of coaches did, as well! They spent endless hours teaching our young men about the game of football, how to be leaders on and off the field, and how to be responsible, respectful members of a team.
We would like to say "thank you" and honor our coaches with a small token of our appreciation. They have given our boys so much of their time and efforts this season. We would like to present each coach with a gift card, to show our appreciation. If you like to contribute to the coaches' gifts, you can donate here. You will be able to track the donations contributed. We will divide the money collected to purchase the coaches' gift cards.
We will be having our end of the season Football Banquet and awards ceremony set tentatively for Thursday, January 23rd. More details about the optional $10 per plate catered dinner and award's ceremony will be sent home next week.
Thank you again for your involvement this season! You showed up for your sons, their school, and their team and showed that Northern Knight Pride! Lets love on our coaches a little and show them our gratitude.
