Klein Oak Class of 85 & 86 Memorial

Donation protected
When Klein Oak High School opened its doors in 1982, the classes of 1985 and 1986 became the first Panthers and set the bar incredibly high for the classes that followed, not only in the areas of academics and extracurricular activities, but also in spirit and pride.

Some of our friends and classmates tragically did not make it to graduation, and others have passed in the subsequent years. It was brought to the attention of alumni from both of these classes, that not one of our classmates is represented on a plaque in the Klein Oak Memorial Garden. We intend to change that by taking donations and working with the school until each of our classmates is recognized and honored.

List of Classmates being honored, and their sponsors, is at the end of this message.

Any donation is appreciated. You can either sponsor a specific classmate with a donation of $54.25 ($50 to the school for the memorial plaque and $4.25 in processing fees for this funding website), or donate any amount to go to getting all of the plaques purchased and erected in the Memorial Garden.

We hope to have a dedication ceremony once the plaques have been funded and erected, but more details will be forthcoming.

Thanks to all of classmates who have cared enough to reach out and be part of this, and please share!

Guidelines for KOHS Memorial Gardens Fundraiser for our Classmates

"¢ For people who graduated from Klein Oak in 1985 and 1986 (or would have if they had not tragically passed away)
"¢ For siblings of KOHS '85 and '86 graduates, regardless of graduation year from KOHS
"¢ If someone wants to sponsor a classmate and pay the entire fee, please note which classmate you are sponsoring and how much you are donating.
"¢ Any donation that is not an entire sponsorship of one or more memorial plaques as stated above, will be put in the general funds to go towards all remaining classmates equally (or those who are siblings of '85 and '86 graduates as stated above)
"¢ Non '85 and '86 KOHS classmates who do not have siblings in those graduating classes, can be included with an entire sponsorship (i.e. if someone wants to recognize a classmate from the class of '87 or later, they need to pay the entire $54.25 to be part of this for their designated classmate.

Thanks to everyone who is participating!! I have already reached out to Cathy Arellano at KOHS and she is happy to work with us to make sure our fellow Panthers are honored in the Memorial Garden.
