Help for Stormy and Kyler

Donation protected

Stormy Ensinger is one of the strongest, most caring people I know and I am blessed to be able to call her my sister. On July 13th 2011, Stormy was diagnosed with APL leukemia which is a very rare form of blood cancer (1 in every 250,000 people have it). She was put in the hospital for two months after being diagnosed. Her cancer had advanced to a point where we thought she wasn't going to make it. Stormy is such a strong person and she never lost faith those two months, she knew she had an adorable 3 year old son who she needed to make it home to. After months of treatment and time away from her home, She pulled through and was released home to continue outpatient treatment. It has been a very long and tough battle with many hospital stays and days stuck in bed, but she has never lost her smile and will to fight past this. This year has been a bit of a struggle for Stormy, after losing her job due to her illness she has also lost her medical insurance for her and her son. In Aug of 2013 Stormy's 5 year old son Kyler was admitted to Phoenix Children's Hospital for a week and was diagnosed with Gelastic seizures ( a very rare type of seizure also known as "the laughing seizure"). Kyler is now put on medication called Keppra which costs $300 a month and is now an out of pocket expense for Stormy since the loss of her insurance.
Two weeks after Kyler was released from the hospital Stormy was admitted to The Mayo Clinic Hospital and was there for 6 days. Due to the heavy chemotherapy treatment she has been undergoing it has now caused heart damage and she was diagnosed with Cardiomyopathy. Stormy is now on a medication called Carvedelal and if she does not take the medication she is at risk of heart failure. Now this loving single mommy is having to battle cancer and heart problems and also be worried about her baby boy with his seizures. Because she doesn't have insurance both hers and Kyler's hospital stays were not covered and both of their bills have totaled nearly 80k. Hospitals wont stop calling to get their money and unfortunately with Stormy not being able to work she can barely pay for their medicine let alone pay the hospital bills. My sister has always been the strong one and always been the one helping others when they need it. I would love to be able to see my sister not have to struggle with medical bills and care when that is the last thing she needs to worry about. This mommy and son are two of the strongest and happiest people I have ever known, and even after everything they have been through they still have smiles on their faces and laughter in their home. Please show your support and share this story and if youre able to donate to help this mommy and son, we would so much appreciate it more than words could ever explain. Thank you and god bless you all.
