Lets Help Cayleb Walk

This is my 7 year old son, Cayleb Matthew. He was born at 24+0 weeks gestation.  As a result he has cerebral palsy. In February 2017 Cayleb underwent a Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy surgery to reduce the spasticity in his legs. Before surgery Cayleb was unable to stand or walk unaided, and could only use his walker for short distances. Cayleb has come a long way in the last 9 months. He can now stand unaided, he has become toilet trained and can take 1 unaided step. I’d love to see Cayleb reach his dream of running on the football field like his idol, Michael Morgan of the North Queensland Cowboys.

In February 2018, a therapist from America is performing therapy blocks using a TheraSuit here in Townsville. This suit has had amazing results in helping children to walk unaided. Cayleb has been offered a spot but it is unfortunately not covered under his current funding. We are hoping to raise enough funds to ensure he can get this therapy.
