Let's get Pam smiling again!

Donation protected
I've known Pam since we were little girls in Sunday School together, so she is very dear to my family and me.    I love her vigor for life, her positivity,  and her faith in God's love and provision for her.  She amazes me in how she gives so much of herself out of true compassion and concern for others.  I know there are people all over the world who have been touched by her giving and friendship.
She has shared and supported others with passion, but now she needs us.  In June she was diagnosed with a very rare kind of cancer in her maxillary sinus; a neuroendocrine tumor. This diagnosis came at the end of a series of illnesses that had been draining her strength.
On November 9th she had a maxillectomy, a surgery to remove the floor of her maxillary sinus and her left  upper jaw and teeth.  This is a very major surgery with a very long recovery.  Because it involves her jaw and teeth besides the maxillary sinus, medical insurance considers part of the costs to be dental and so far is not covering them. These are not optional 'dental services',  they are done by a very specialized prosthodontist  in order to rebuild her jaw so that she can breathe, eat, and speak normally.

The expected bill for the prosthodontics is $20,000.  In addition she has co-pays and the deductibles of her health insurance.  She has already paid $6000 towards these costs, and is making monthly payments.
These costs are  challenging because she has missed so much work due to doctors' visits and treatments since July.    She is a pediatric nurse practioner and has not been able to work at all since surgery on November 9.  She tires easily and is concerned about communicating with her young patients and thier parents because of the alterations to her speech.  But she is a trooper, anxious to get back in there, and is hoping to go to partial days on December 11th.
Besides needing funds for her extensive medical treatments.   She still needs to pay for insurance, food, rent, gas etc.
Her needs are urgent.  Our goal is to raise $40,000 to cover her medical expenses and living expenses until she can get back to work full time.  Please help by donating; even $5 is appreciated.  If we all band together, we can have Pam smiling again and back to her usual energetic, caring, faithful friend.
Whether you can donate  or not, you can help by sharing this need through FaceBook and any other means that you can.  Any way we can get the word out for Pam would be wonderful.
Please also help by holding her and her Mom up in prayer.  This is a stressful, exhausting  journey for both of them.  God has cared for her this far, and I agree with her that He is sufficient and good to carry her through.
Let's get Pam back to her Super Hero self!
