As many of you know our dear friend Kari Montgomery has been diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's. Kari and her family have been through so much these past years and they really need our love, support and help. Not only is Kari suffering with this horrible disease but her beautiful mother, Shirley has Alzheimer's as well. Kari's dad, Jim is doing all he can to "support his girls" and hold their family together. This is unimaginable.
Kari's "angel friend" Lauralee Gordley has worked tirelessly to get Kari accepted into a clinical trial study for a new drug to treat Alzheimer's in St. Louis, Missouri. Kari & Lauralee have already traveled back & forth several times and this is costly for them to say the least.In order for Kari to continue this clinical trial study she will need to continue traveling to St. Louis at least 10 more times. Each trip costs $1600 with travel & expenses. They don't have airline miles to use, and while originally the plan was for us all to donate air miles to them, after lots of research by Lauralee this will not be beneficial to them. After fees etc/transfer fees the cost ends up being more than buying an airline ticket themselves. Not to mention Kari needs help with everyday travel expenses as she is unable to work.
Again, Kari and her family need our love, prayers and support now more then ever. Any donation you can give is so greatly appreciated.
