TEAM UNCLE DALE

This is the face of cancer. This is four years since diagnosis. This is two years of chemo. This is a colon resection and a Portacath. This is a peripheral neuropathy from chemo. This is a minefield of positive scans, bad news, ambivalence, anger, confusion, and self-discovery. This is a life, changed forever by the ever-changing face of cancer.
This is also a lieutenant fireman. This is a son, a brother, a cousin, an uncle. This is a mentor, a teacher, a leader, a student. This is a father. This is a first-time grandfather. This is a husband, once and for always, who meant his promise of "til death do us part".
This is Dale Meno, who has lived his whole life for others. This is a man, whose daily chores include breaking personal records and finding ways to be better than yesterday. This is his war "“ but he has an endless fleet of support behind him.
Exploring alternative therapies to chemo or radiation, he will continue his journey to overcome his circumstances and champion his life on his own terms.
We are so grateful for every moment he is with us. We are determined to be steadfast in faith: of family, hope and above all, LOVE!!
