Help Kalyan’s Family

On 7th November, 2017 our friend Kalayan met with an tragic car accident in Farmington while going to Fort Saint John for a class at Northern Lights College.
The car he was in lost its control and was hit by a gravel truck. Due to internal bleeding Kalyan couldn’t make it and in the afternoon we were told he was no more.
For anyone who doesn’t know Kalyan, he was born and brought up in Hyderabad India. He was a professor by profession, which he was very proud about. In 2015, he moved to Dawson Creek, Canada for a better future and started school at Northern Lights College.
Nobody deserves to have an end like this. The money donated won’t bring him back but it will surely give hope to a mother that just lost her son and her husband 2 years ago.
For those in Dawson Creek and area who wish to donate for the fundraiser for Kalyana Chakravarthi, please avoid donating on gofundme as it charges 8 % for every transaction. We will be at NLC dorms in the coming week as well and we will also be accepting donations at his memorial on Wednesday.
