We Will Rebuild!!

On Saturday November 4, 2017, my Uncle Derrick Alsop and Aunt Edith Alsop survived a devastating house fire. I /we as a family are thankful and overjoyed that the two of them and their dog Ruckus made it out of the house with little to no physical injuries! Unfortunately, they lost everything! It’s true, you never truly realize what you have until it’s gone! They have to start all over again. From small things like toiletries to major expenses such as food and lodging it all adds up! The road to recovery and rebuilding is going to be long and hard! Sadly, no amount of rebuilding will ever replace the memories they have shared with their 6 kids and the host of other children, family, and friends from the community that have also called their house home! I asked for permission to do this because I’ve known my Aunt and Uncle my whole life and they never ask for anything from anyone but give love and their last freely! Sure, of course they have insurance, and yes Red Cross is helping but, both of those resources run out! They will need to piece together the remnants of their life while living in and out of hotels and with family until their home is restored and rebuilt! My aunt and Uncle are the kindest most down to earth people you’ll ever know! They’ve always been there at all costs for their children, me and my children, and many of the people who will read and share this...! Please help me raise money for the numerous expenses they will face in the days, weeks, months, and perhaps even years ahead.
