Sherry Glatte

Our mom, Sherry Glatte, went to see a new doctor in September due to significant weight loss. The doctor immediately scheduled her for a CAT scan. The results came back and they had found a large mass on her stomach along with a smaller mass on one of her kidneys. They did a biopsy of the mass which came back as cancer. Sherry was diagnosed on Monday, October 16, 2017 with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL). DLBCL is an aggressive type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma that develops from the B-cells in the lymphatic system.  

Shortly after her diagnosis Sherry was admitted to Southdale Hospital. Her kidneys were only functioning at 50% so they had to keep her for several days. During her hospital stay they implanted a port for chemo, a stunt to help her kidneys function better, as well as many tests & scans.  She was released after several days & is now at home.

Our step-dad, Steve Glatte, is on a family medical leave from work to stay home and care for our mom. They have no income coming in during this time. All money raised will go directly to Steve & Sherry to help cover living expenses, food, medications, & hospital bills.
