Friends. I’m Claudia, from Manassas, VA and these kids are our niece and nephew from my husband’s side-Gerson Hortua.
His brother, Christian and his wife Heidi Hortua tragically and unexpectedly lost their children in a hit and run horrific scene. Our niece was Leoneidy Alexandra and the little young man was Alan David, her baby brother.
Their lives were taken away in our Home-Country on Saturday morning (11/04/2017) by 2 men who were running away from the police with a stolen truck, as Leoneidy and Alan were walking to go to Church from home. The men got over the sidewalk when turning to the next street and struck our children and never stopped.
My brother-in-law was walking a few steps behind them and witnessed it all. The horrific scene repeats over and over again in his mind. No parent should ever face such a tragedy.
Both were great, smart, obedient, examplary kids.
We all are devastated.
The funds collected in here will be sent to our family to help with anything they deem necessary.

AND please pray, pray, pray for Christian and Heidi, as they face the grieving process, as well as my in-laws, Gerson's parents, Jaime and Maya, as they have been their stronghold during this nightmare.
