My Mother Is A Warrior! Help Fight!

Hello Y’all! My name is Toni! I am the daughter of Terry Wiley! Let me start by saying this, my mother is not one to ask for anything ever! She has always been a hard worker, dedicated mother/grandmother, and has never asked for handouts! If she knew I was making this campaign I’m sure she would be livid! Here’s where I come in! My mom has been working 60 plus hours a week (Mon-Fri at her 6-3pm job and would serve at the Legion on wed and fri nights) She does not stop ever!! With that being said here’s where my story begins...in July 2017 my Mom started to get back and chest pain after camping. With me being a nurse, she called and asked me what she should do! I told her go to the doctor and ask for a X-ray. She went in and the doctors told her she has left lower lobe pleural effusion and chalked it up to pneumonia. They gave her an antibiotic and sent her on her way. August rolls around, and she is still not feeling well. Now her leg and back hurt. She goes back to the doctor and they do another X-ray and tell her the same thing. Give her another antibiotic and tell her she needs to do physical therapy. My mother goes the whole month of September in excruciating pain and attending physical therapy taking ibuprofen to try to ease it.! Meanwhile I am asking her to please request an MRI. My mother is very strong and bull headed and never thinks anything I wrong. (Opposite of me) haha. So she continues to work her butt off like normal and deals with the pain. October rolls around and she decides to switch doctors. This doctor tells her it’s just a slipped disc in her back or herniated discs and that she will be ok once prescribes her something. At this point I’m ready to fly from Florida to Pennsylvania. I live in Florida (due to the navy) so there’s not to much I can do other than fly back and forth. A week later the insurance comply approved her MRI. We are in mid October now. My mother gets her MRI on October 13th (Friday the 13th) I’ll never forget that day. My husband had just returned from a 6 month deployment and we were out to dinner. She kept calling my phone and I kept ignoring the call Bc I had just got my food. Then I said Corey (my husband) hold on I’m gonna answer. My mother says what are you doing Toni. I said I am about to eat dinner with Corey. She says ok call me back after. I said no what’s up! She says no call me later! I said no mom tell me what’s wrong! She says you know how I just had that MRI today? I said was and (I already knew in my head)..she says they found cancer in my spine/pelvis and I have to go get a cat scan and blood work tom. My world instantly fell gray! My siblings and I already lost our father ten years ago to cancer, and now our mom! Life is so complicated! Well then I asked her how do you feel about this. She says I’m fine Bc I know I’m gonna beat it and it’s not gonna get me! My mom is a warrior/a fighter.. so we hang up! Fast forward to her next few app. The next day her ct scan showed cancer in her right lower lung, and 5 tumors on spine and pelvis. She schedules to see one of the better doctors in Pittsburgh at the hillman center (so we thought), and he tells my mother Bc she looks good he wants to fight it aggressively. (Not even having a pet scan or biopsy done) he then tells her he needs to schedule a biopsy. She goes back to Pittsburgh to get the biopsy and low and behold they did it in the wrong place! They biopsies her rib and not lung! They needed the lung biopsy to see what type and how aggressive this cancer really is! So my mother makes another app with a diff doc in erie. This doctor tells her she needs to go get a pet scan this Friday! Nov 2nd (today) as my mother was about to leave work and go in they tell her her insurance doesn’t cover it! Now mind you while all of this is going on my mom is in so much pain she can hardly walk! She went from working 60 hours to sleeping half the day! She needs the help to pay for all the medical expenses and gas, and for everything else! Please if you know my mom she is a good person, and would never ever ask for a dime! She is prob gonna hate me for this, but she is all us kids have left! She is a phenomenal Grandma/friend/person/mother! Y’all know she would give you the shirt off her back! Please help us to pay for her expenses and anything else bill wise that she needs! I will keep everyone updated! As of right now she goes for a bone scan Monday until they figure out the pet scan! She needs to get treatment started soon! But so far it’s looking like stage 3 or 4 lung cancer that’s metastasized to spine and pelvis!
