Helping Out The Oats Twinnies
Donation protected
Hi guys, Mark and Mel have done an absolutely amazing job as parents with their twinnie’s Cody and Tait encountering more hurdles and hospital visits than most people in a lifetime, we thought it would be a great idea to help them with the ongoing expenses to support both boys. Cody has had a challenging start to life with a bleed and abnormal sack from the beginning, and an infection in the membrane which caused their premature birth at 30wks. He’s spent 75 days in hospital to start his life, then an additional 18 days with sickness. He's been diagnosed with VACTERL association (scoliosis and hemivertebra, sigmoid kidney, atrial septal defect, increased spinal fluid), chronic lung disease (requiring oxygen), bronchio and tracheal malacia, severe reflux requiring tube feeding direct to his intestine, vision impairment (optic nerve hypoplasia) and global development delay. He requires intensive therapy daily and many appointments with his 9 specialists and 5 allied health providers. His future prognosis is unclear but we are going to do everything we can to give him the best chance at a happy and fulfilling life to overcome any barriers out in front of him. In order to do this he needs continued intensive therapy and specialised equipment for his physical and visual needs. If you can donate anything in our hopes to support the best care and comfort Cody we would be forever grateful. Thank you so much Mel Richards xoxo
