Our Beautiful Berlin

Berlin is 4 years old. She is your normal child who enjoys preschool, playing with her friends and older brother. Her life has been normal up until the last couple months. She started having seizures which prompted us to make a trip to the doctor. Trips to the doctor, several doctors, studies, MRIs, physicological evaluations, daily medications, and now brain surgery. We are looking at a possible trip out of state for additional testing. Berlin has a severe brain condition that requires brain surgery. There may also be some educational and physical therapy need after surgery. This has been really hard on our family emotionally and financially. We already have some extensive medical debt and more to come. We are your typical family without insurance and don't meet the qualification for assistance. Making the decision for one of us to set work aside and care for her. Our expenses are the same with half the income. While our pride sometimes does not want to ask for help, today with tears in my eyes I am. Our daughter Berlin is everything to us and want to give her all that we can.
