PCYFL Helmet Drive!

PCYFL's immediate goals this year are focused on safety. We take our commitment to player safety very seriously and do not shy away from seizing every opportunity to mitigate the risks inherent with tackle football. Our coaches and board members are all USA Football Certified, which means they are well-versed in the latest concussion and first aid protocols, and safer tackling (“wrap and roll”) techniques, so that we can ensure we are approaching every practice and game with safety in mind. Plastic trophies are not the goal with the PCYFL Mustangs. Teamwork, discipline, family, safety, hard work, integrity are our virtues.

We want to outfit our entire chapter with Xenith helmets which are the safest in the business. Last year we were able to fundraise enough money to buy new helmets for our entire intermediate team and will send out all of them for reconditioning to ensure they're in tip-top shape. We have added a lot more players this season and are going to need to purchase more helmets. Please consider donating toward these safer helmets for the PCYFL Mustangs. Any additional funds that go beyond providing a helmet for each child will go toward safety/uniform equipment and player scholarships for the program, which consists of seven- to fourteen-year-olds. We are a non-profit organization with a group of amazing volunteers who only wish to continue this wonderful tradition of youth football in the SLO, Morro Bay, Cayucos, and Los Osos communities.
