FAMILY IN NEED - Addition to home

THIS IS MY STORY

I would love to help this wonderful family. This man is a caretaker for his wife, a father and a Veteran. He has done for his family more than anyone can imagine. He has been diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy as well as severe Spinal Stenosis. Muscular dystrophy (MD) is a group of muscle diseases that weaken the musculoskeletal system and hamper locomotion. Making it difficult to climb stairs.^[1][2] Muscular dystrophies are characterized by progressive skeletal muscle weakness, defects in muscle proteins, and the death of muscle cells and tissue. It is very hard for him to climb upstairs and to manage everyday tasks. He has been a hard worker all of his life and currently his home only has bedrooms on the top floor. I have done many fundraisers here at Derry Medical Center and this one is truly dear to me. This man is MY FATHER. Not only has he been a wonderful father to his children and husband to his wife, but also to my daughter. I would love to try and build a first floor bedroom so that he does not risk any serious injury. I am hoping to raise enough money so that I can purchase the lumber and materials needed to build this first floor bedroom. I hope to make this a VERY SPECIAL surprise for my parents.
