Fly On, Little Wing. ❤️

My brother and I are reaching out with hopes to raise money for services for our father, Gerardo Ledesma Sr. My father was diagnosed with Stage 4 Liver Cirrhosis and Renal Cell Carcinoma late last year. He was a fighter—he fought so hard within the last 11 months and now, he is resting peacefully. He was a self-taught musician, the greatest guitarist I know—music was his true love. There wasn't anything he couldn't play: Punk, Oldies, Blues, Rock En Español, New Wave...you name it, he'd play it. He poured his heart and soul into his music; he was very quiet and reserved but you could tell how he was feeling by what he was playing. He looked very intimidating and scary to those who didn't know him—but those who did know that he was a gentle giant with a heart bigger than anyone. He was the oldest of seven children, and grew up to have two children of his own. He loved his family immensely and had so many different ways of showing you he cared. He had so many friends he grew up with, some he knew for over 30+ years and they have turned into family. He was loved by so many people and lived a very full and happy life, he was very blessed and we were very blessed to have him as our papa. I know he is jammin' out with BB King, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and the rest of his favorites Rest easy, my llama. This will be a rough journey but I know we will get through it, and we will see you on the other side one day. Descanso en paz, mi Tesoro ❤️
